Hindi Movie Dhan Daulat (1980) Synopsis: Love is blind, it never does and never will understand the societal norms, nor does it accept the class division that society devotionally adheres to. But, when one of the two lovers falls beyond love for the society and its indifferent norms, love itself is left to ransom. Such is the story of a rich and wealthy young man (Rajendra Kumar) who falls in love with a girl (Mala Sinha) from a middle-class background. But when his family opposes the match and compels him to leave her, he bends down to his family wishes and abandons his love. The girl does not tell him that she is pregnant with his child. Independently the girl brings up their son Lucky (Rishi Kapoor) educates him and makes him independent. As history would repeat, Lucky falls for a girl, Shanti (Neetu Singh) who comes from a rich and wealthy background. After completion of his studies, lands his first job, in the company owned by his father! What happens there after is the tussle between the rich and the rich at heart. Doe Lucky come to know about his rich father? Do Lucky and Shanti unite despite the difference in their class? All these questions are answered in this emotional, musical love story.
