In pursuit of property and money, the younger brother of a wealthy man arranges for the kidnapping of his new born nephew. The child gets resuced by a poor woman who raises him as her own and names him Vijay. Years later, Vijay growns up to be a bright and honest college student. He crosses paths with a rich and arrogant girl named Usha; and after several clashes they both fall in love with each other. But Usha's father disapproves of Vijay sighting his poverty and arranges for her to get married with a wealthy man. Vijay vows to become rich at any cost and sets out to con a wealthy childless couple by claiming to be their son who they lost as a baby.
